With homecoming week quickly approaching, student council will be selling homecoming shirts in the commons hallway during lunch periods this week.

The shirts are designed after this year’s homecoming theme “Mission Space,” with a NASA-inspired image on the front.  Because the shirts are for “Clash of the Classes” and class color day on Oct. 3 during homecoming week, each grade has a different color shirt with a unique saying on the back.

“I think they are so cool.  I’ve loved the shirts every year, but this year, there is an especially interesting theme and design,” senior Ashley Elenz said.

The senior class of 2018 will sport black shirts that read “The Final Front18r.” Junior shirts will be navy with the saying “In junior year, no one can hear you scream.” The sophomores will have “Come-t me bro!” across the back of their purple shirts, and freshman class of 2021 will be wearing baby blue shirts reading “The force is strong in this (twenty) one.”

Shirts cost $10, and students must purchase them by Friday Sept. 15 to be guaranteed a shirt. Students received order forms in an email from student counsel sponsor George Bedingfield. Printed order forms will also be available in the commons. For students who place their orders by the deadline, shirts can be picked up on Sept. 28 and 29.

“I always get a shirt and they really do psych me up for all the fun activities during homecoming week,” junior Claire Bauerle said.
