This year, students had an unique option for student planners. Service Over Self (SOS) sold assignment notebooks because of the lack of them from the school last year. The notebooks have weekly calendars for students to write down homework due dates and the covers feature pictures of the school therapy dog, Toby.

“I got the school planner because it keeps me organized, and it was worth the money,” sophomore Ashly Zurlo said. “I like how in the back it says the days we have off of school and our breaks.”

Some students, however, bought their own planners to stay organized this year. The variety of planners available at stores such as Target were appealing to many students, and it allowed them to pick the perfect one for the school year.

“I forgot to order the school one, but once I saw them I was glad I got this one. I like the hard cover and big tabs,” sophomore Abby Andre said.

Some students also prefer to use their iPads to keep track of assignments. The convenience of having a planner on one device appeals to many students.

“I use notes on the iPad because I don’t need to write much down,” sophomore Carly McKean said. “It is simple and I don’t have to carry it around everywhere. Everything is on one device.”

Regardless of where they were bought, planners can be a useful tool to help students stay organized all year.
