Cans flow into lunchroom for food drive

As the annual food drive commences, flow into the lunch room ready to pack boxes chaos takes over, “It was crazy, in the beginning it was stressful to sort all the items but as it started to move along it was fine. It was nice seeing everyone get together for a good cause,” senior Diana Matche said.

Items were being stuffed into boxes and they were being stacked up high. We reached an astonishing number of 40k cans! The distribution process was heart felt, we made 3 stops. Willow Creek, St. Alphonsus, and Northwest compass. “Its was great energy seeing seeing all the students connecting and helping all the families in need,” senior Tara Daily said.

Distributing all the cans and seeing how thankful the centers were really brought us all together. “It was great giving all of those cans to people in need around the community. It was really cool that our school was able to help so many people and have have fun while doing it. It’s an experience that’s taught me so much and I’ll never forget,” senior Bridget Stephens said.
